Chords are set of individual notes played together to produce a harmonious tones. It needs a lot of skills to draw a musical piece possessing a powerful arrangement of melody. Broken chords on the other side is a set of notes that are played one at a time but will complement with each other to form a harmonic arrangement. Arpeggios also refer to broken chords.
